- Commercial ranges are specified by size, ply rating and fitment position — steer, drive or trailer — because a pattern suited to one axle is wrong on another.
- Off-the-road tyres follow the TRA classification, so an enquiry for 17.5-25 L3 is priced against a defined tread code rather than a general description.
- Destination approval markings are confirmed before the order rather than after the container has sailed: ECE R30 for passenger, R54 for commercial, DOT for North America, and GCC conformity where applicable.
- Rims are quoted by diameter, rim width, PCD, centre bore and offset — an alloy that matches on diameter alone will not fit.

What do the numbers on a tyre size mean?
Taking 205/55 R16 91V — 205 is the section width in millimetres, 55 the aspect ratio as a percentage of that width, R radial construction, 16 the rim diameter in inches, 91 the load index and V the speed symbol. All six are needed to quote accurately.
Do tyres need destination-specific approval?
Usually. Most markets require an ECE approval mark, a DOT code, or local conformity certification. We confirm the marking requirement for the destination before the order is placed rather than after the container has shipped.
How are batteries shipped?
Wet-filled lead-acid batteries are dangerous goods under IMDG Class 8, UN 2794, and require compliant packing, marking and documentation. This is arranged as part of the shipment rather than left to the buyer.
